Age Friendly provides outreach services to seniors in Cold Lake and the M.D. of Bonnyville, Wards 5 & 6.
Under a current grant, we have expanded Age Friendly services to all of the M.D. of Bonnyville and the Town of Bonnyville until March 2025.
Age Friendly Outreach Workers assess the needs and challenges that a senior may face and determine the services they require. Where Age Friendly differs from other agencies, is that our services focus on in-home support. This is what makes Age Friendly unique from other local agencies and service providers. We do not duplicate services in our community, we assist seniors who fall through the cracks or who are unaware of the services that are available to them. We refer to existing agencies as much as possible but more often than not, Age Friendly receives referrals from Doctors, Homecare, FCSS, Veterans Affairs and others, as they are aware we can provide the in-home services the senior needs.
